Management - Business Intelligence

Managerial Aspects of Business Intelligence Implementation The implementation of the BI differs from implementation of a typical IT project due to the fact that business benefits that BI systems provide are intangible and difficult to quantify, companies may face significant problems related to the project planning, cost-benefit analysis, vendor selection, data preparation, employees training and ethical and legal aspects of the implementation. As a result of the current research, managerial aspects of the BI implementation are analyzed based on the secondary research and interviews at the case company. The BI implementation in the case company is assessed and recommendations for  improvements are provided. Additionally, based on the secondary research and experience of the case company corrections to the BI implementation process models are suggested and general recommendations for BI implementation are outlined for future references of the organizations. pdf 2012
